Czechoslovak Philately

January 2002

Post card sent from Praha to Pernambuco, Brazil via the 1st Graf Zeppelin flight of 1932, the first flight flowing Czechoslovakia becoming a "contracting state" for zeppelin air mail service. The round, red cancel indicates the air connection between Berlin and Friedrichshafen; the purple cancel is for the flight itself. The card arrived in Brazil on March 23, 1932. The postage is correct.
