QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Questions are the mark of a good philatelist. It is intellectual curiosity that opens up the most interesting aspects of philately, in our case Czechoslovak philately. Some of our questions are about the hobby ("does this material belong to Czechoslovak philately," "where can I fill my want list"). Others are about philatelic material we have and which we do not quite understand. While questions will differ in their focus and complexity, all questions are valid and welcome. Names of questioners will not be included, but those of the respondents will. Hopefully this will avoid any reluctance on the one hand and help validate the response on the other.

This page will address any questions about Czechoslovak philately you may submit. Illustrations of materials in question are welcome, in fact, in some cases necessary, to insure accurate responses. The most knowledgeable members of our Society will be asked to address each question. Illustrations should be submitted with the question. If a scan of the item is not available, the item may be sent to us, with appropriate return postage, for scanning and posting along with your question. Questions submitted to The Czechoslovak Specialist will be published in that journal, space permitting, and also on these pages.
